FLOODS, WEATHER RISKS HOW TO REACT?
In recent years, we have all heard of record floods, unprecedented storms, or thunderstorms of unprecedented magnitude. These meteorological phenomena, linked to global warming, surprise us with their suddenness and scale, but also with the damage they cause to people and property.
To anticipate these events and respond coherently and appropriately, the municipality is revising its municipal safeguard plan (PCS). A mock exercise carried out in February 2025, with the Lot-et-Garonne Prefecture, the fire department, the national police, and around thirty municipalities in the department, made it possible to correct this document for the prevention of natural or technological disasters. To present it to you, Madam Mayor,
Pascale LUGUET invites you to a discussion meeting on Monday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the F. Mitterrand cultural center.
To better understand these climatic phenomena and their consequences, we have invited a specialist, Jean François BERTHOUMIEU (Meteorologist).
He will explain these issues to you clearly and in an educational manner.
